Who runs this site
gk2autopsy.com is built and maintained by an independent Graveyard Keeper fan as a hobby project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Lazy Bear Games or the publisher of Graveyard Keeper 2. Game names, characters and other assets belong to their respective owners; we reference them only to describe the game.
The site is free to use. Ads help cover the cost of running it. There are no accounts, paywalls or sign-ups.
What the calculator does
The autopsy calculator on the homepage is a sandbox for planning a corpse before you cut. You enter the corpse’s starting White and Red skulls, choose whether you are preparing it for burial or for zombie work, then tick the extractions (Blood, Fat, Flesh, Bone, Skin, Skull, Dark Organ and the hard organs Brain, Heart and Guts) and optional embalming toggles you plan to use. The tool adds up each choice’s effect and shows an estimated White count, Red count and a Net (White − Red) figure, plus a step-by-step list and a short burial or zombie hint.
The numbers come from a public, editable rules table rather than being hard-coded, so they can be corrected when better information appears. You can see every value in the rules table on the homepage. The results are estimates: Graveyard Keeper 2 is a recent release, public sources still disagree on some details, and organ quality on your save can differ. Always confirm on the in-game autopsy table before committing a valuable corpse.
What the guides cover
Alongside the calculator, the site has focused guides that explain the reasoning behind each choice:
- Autopsy guide — unlocks, kits, Anatomy mastery, a safe extraction order and when to stop.
- White skulls and Red skulls — what each skull type means for burial and zombies.
- Organs and Corpse types — soft parts, vitals and how skulls are carried.
- Embalming — mixes, naming conflicts between sources, and suggested order.
- Burial prep, Zombie prep and Reanimation Liquid — end-to-end paths for each goal.
- Tech tree — autopsy, embalming and reanimation technologies and Anatomy perks.
How content is researched and sourced
Every guide and the calculator’s default rules were written against public launch-period articles and wiki pages, such as Wikily, games.gg, Prima Games, GameRant and Fextralife, cross-checked against each other. The exact pages we consulted are listed on the Sources page.
When sources conflict (for example, early articles use different embalming names than the most detailed wiki table), we say so on the relevant page and mark the value as unverified instead of picking one silently. We do not invent numbers: where no public source gives an exact figure, the calculator uses a clearly labeled coarse estimate and the page tells you to verify it in-game.
How the site is kept up to date
Pages are revised as new patches, wiki updates and better-sourced guides appear. Every meaningful change is recorded on the Changelog with its date, and the changelog states explicitly whenever the calculator’s rules table changes, so you can tell whether a result would differ from an earlier visit.
